Study Group UK Director, Global Partner Student Recruitment in Brighton, United Kingdom

This strategic role represents a unique opportunity to make a significant and lasting impact at the leading provider of international education and will raise the profile of the successful candidate across Study Group and our extensive network of UK & Europe university partners.

ABOUT THE ROLE

 

  • In conjunction with a team of Student Recruitment managers and the Sales Directors East & West, develop and execute global sales strategies and tactical recruitment plans to ensure the delivery of revenue and student volume targets for all brands in the assigned portfolio

  • Develop high-quality collaborative relationships with senior leaders in other business functions to drive new initiatives and ensure existing and new products are fully aligned to the needs of our partners and the market in order to meet university partner expectations of both student outcomes and volumes

  • Identify short-term tactical actions to drive NSE volumes (eg: term dates, entry requirements, discounts, additional agent incentives etc).

  • In conjunction with the Partner Development team take the lead on the student recruitment relationship with all UK & Europe partner universities, maintaining close and collaborative relationships with senior international recruitment stakeholders in order to fully execute global sales strategies

  • Support the development and delivery of Annual/Five Year Account Plans, attend Steering Meetings as required.

  • Drive the communication of market and competitor insights to all UK & Europe university partners to secure buy-in for strategic and tactical initiatives and product optimisations.

  • Support in the discussion and  development of new products and services with existing and prospective University Partners

  • Act as a point of escalation for all UK Partners on all matters pertaining to Sales strategy ensuring Partner Satisfaction is maintained and improved at all times.

  • Lead a team of UK-based Heads of Partner Student Recruitment responsible for creating and executing the global recruitment strategies for all UK & Europe International Study Centres

  • Lead a team of in-market recruitment managers responsible for executing the regional centre sales plans set in conjunction with East & West Regional Directors

  • Support the delivery of a high performance culture, ensuring a constant focus on the delivery of high quality outcomes through effective management and coaching.

  • Motivate and energise others through positive reinforcement and by acting as an inspirational role model.

  • Clearly articulate the Company’s business goals/plans and initiatives, ensure they are translated into action through outcome setting, regular cascade/communication and feedback processes.

    ABOUT YOU

  • Relevant Educational Degree

  • Track record of delivering and exceeding sales targets.

  • A good understanding of the international education market and the needs of students in source markets.

  • Experience of leading a sales team and of successfully achieving sales targets

  • Experience of working in an international corporate/matrix environment

  • Experience of working with a CRM and using data/reporting to drive decision making

  • Demonstrable business and commercial acumen, analytical and quantitative abilities.

  • A relentless focus on driving high quality outcomes across a large regional team, setting clear targets and continuously monitors progress against these.  

  • Holds others to account for delivery, and provides coaching and feedback to support team members in their development.

  • Agile in approach – can move seamlessly between short-term tactical and medium term plans and activities. 

  • A strong collaborator who develops effective relationships and networks with key internal and external stakeholders. 

  • Able to understand and interpret information and data from a range of sources and use this to the benefit of the team.

  • Negotiates effectively and is able to adapt approach based on the needs of the stakeholder.

  • Comfortable working in ambiguity and is able to develop creative solutions or adapt to changing circumstances to ensure the delivery of planned outcomes.

  • Demonstrates effective and timely decision making and judgement, recognising when issues need to be escalated to more senior leaders.

  • Highly organised and self-motivated; able to create plans and prioritise work for self and others, ensuring that tight deadlines are delivered.

  • Excellent written and oral communicator, able to clearly and confidently convey the benefits of proposals/actions.
