Job Overview

This is a role within the distribution center of Simon & Schuster, a 100-year-old company with offices around the world, that is also the only US owned book publishing house. For this role we are seeking experience Janitor.

What you will be doing on a daily basis

• Sweeping and dusting

• Emptying trash

• Transporting pallets from different locations to assigned area using an electric rider pallet jack

• Operating a forklift to lift/lower pallets/totes from the mezzanine

• Assisting with department projects

• Supporting different departmental tasks

• Performing case-sealing

• Conducting split-case picking

Some requirements:

• Previous janitorial experience preferred.t.

• Ability to handle 50+ pounds.

• You must have careful attention to detail and strong communication skills.

• Some analytical experience is preferable.

• You must have the ability to stand for up to 8 hours/day

Shift and Schedule:

• Our distribution facility operates in 3 shifts and this particular role is part of the Morning shift, workingMonday- Friday (5:00 AM – 1:00 PM). There is an opportunity for overtime as well.
