Team & Job Overview

EDC’s Singapore branch has an exciting opportunity for a results oriented and highly autonomous Senior HR Generalist. As the Singapore branch grows in support of EDC’s Indo-Pacific Strategy, the Senior HR Generalist will work in collaboration with branch leadership and HR teams based in Canada to drive the branch HR initiatives and programs forward.

Discipline Summary

As a generalist, supports the business by designing, implementing and/or monitoring a variety of human resource strategies, policies, or programs including, but not limited to: workforce planning, employee relations, diversity, corporate culture, organizational design, talent management, performance management, development planning and/or succession planning.

Ensures human resources programs are delivered in compliance with policies, guidelines, legislation and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

HR Advisory & Generalist Support:

  • Support Singapore branch with implementation of processes and HR Programs (Talent Programs, Performance Management, ID&E Programs/Accessibility), provide advisory services to leaders & employees in collaboration with the HR Advisory Team based in Canada.

  • Support branch leaders in embedding EDC Values and in cultivating a unique workplace culture.

  • Provide advisory services and consultation to employees and leaders on the application of EDC policies and guidelines for the Singapore branch. Also responsible for the monitoring and development of branch specific HR policies, guidelines, and resources.

  • Conduct new employee onboarding sessions and ensure a seamless integration to the organization.

  • In collaboration with HR COE teams and internal partner teams based in Canada, support initiatives and responsibilities related to international relocation, total rewards and compensation, workforce strategy and culture, learning and development, and leadership development.

Talent Acquisition & Employer Brand

  • Responsible to develop & implement strategy to establish EDC’s employer brand in Singapore market

  • Full cycle recruitment for roles in the Singapore branch and Indo-Pacific region

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate Degree in Business Administration or Human Resources Management

  • Minimum 7 years of work experience in human resources management, as a generalist or across multiple disciplines providing HR advisory services and talent acquisition support

  • Good knowledge and understanding of Singapore Employment market and labor laws

  • Proven interviewing skills, including experience with behavioral based interviewing techniques.

  • Strong working knowledge of using LinkedIn Recruiter, Taleo or other applicant tracking systems.

  • Willing to work early morning and evening hours to connect with stakeholders and team members in North American time zones.

Assets

  • Experience supporting a growing organization as an HR Advisor or Generalist

  • International and full cycle recruitment experience in the areas of underwriting, risk management, and ESG professionals

  • Strong ability to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives

  • Strong influencing and negotiation skills

  • Proven ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced matrix environment, always being responsive, with a strong sense of urgency.

  • Knowledge of employment branding technics and activities

  • Strong sourcing skills and a track record of implementing innovative and effective strategies for sourcing passive candidates and building a diverse pipeline.

  • Ability to work under minimal supervision.

  • Ability to design and manage social marketing campaigns via various social media sources.

  • Bilingual in English and French as well as any other Asian languages.

Salary range

  • $97,240 (SGP$8,103S per month) - $145,808 (SGP$12,150 per month) performance-based incentive.

Location

  • Please be advised that this position is based at our Singapore branch office located at the Marina Bay Financial Centre, Singapore.
