AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector. The AWS Global Support team interacts with leading companies and believes that world-class support is critical to customer success. AWS Support also partners with a global list of customers that are building mission-critical applications on top of AWS services.

Amazon Web Services came to China in 2013, and has been relentlessly investing and expanding our infrastructure and business since then. Amazon Web Services launched its China (Beijing) Region (operated by Sinnet) in September 2016 and its China (Ningxia) Region (operated by NWCD) in December 2017. In 2019, Amazon Web Services added a new region in Hong Kong, making China the only country with three Amazon Web Services regions aside from the U.S. In 2022, Amazon Web Services launched Local Zone in Taipei. Amazon Web Services has also established an AI lab in Shanghai and two IoT labs in Shenzhen and Taipei. The Amazon Web Services Partner Network has thousands of Partners in China. The General Business (GB) team is to build the concrete foundation and growth engine for GCR, in terms of customer acquisition, development and tier-up, to fuel GCR future growth, by fully leveraging AWS' innate spirit of innovation, we seek out, inspire and guide Developers, Start-ups, SMBs and all not-yet-on-cloud enterprises to embark on their cloud journey with AWS as the default choice, and we empower and support customers to accelerate business growth and innovation globally.We’re looking for a Senior Territory BD, in this role, you will have the exciting opportunity to design and execute territory business strategy plans, establish the co-selling mechanism with partners, lead industry vertical plays and volume plays to improve long tail customer coverage and growth.

[Job Responsibility] This role requires a high-functioning individual who is comfortable with the following (not exhaustive):

• Identify & engage general business customer (e.g. M&E and Ads industry …) or any other customer assigned by Amazon

• Design and execute an integrated territory plan, exploring new GTM models to achieve comprehensive territory business objectives.

• Collaborate with partners to better cover territory customer and accelerate customer adoption of AWS. Ensure customer satisfaction.

• Work closely with internal team with appropriate mechanisms - Manage multiple requests simultaneously & strategically - Maintain robust sales pipeline and associated territory target lists in Salesforce.com.

• Deliver revenue and growth targets for territory business success. Ensure strong customer tier-up momentum for GCR.

Basic Qualifications

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• 58+ years of technology related business development or proven experience in Eastern China (specifically in Shanghai) territory business development·

• Familiar with cloud business and ecosystem in East China (specifically in Shanghai), with proven sales track record or win cases in customer acquisition/growth or territory business.

• Experienced in business planning and territory planning (Shanghai market focus).

• Experienced in partner co-selling and vertical/volume play.

• BA/BS degree required. Masters or MBA/EMBA is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience of cloud solutions.

• M&E and Ads industry experience is preferred.

• A technical or sales team management background is preferred.

• Strong presentation and communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts to cross-functional audiences in business proficient.

• AWS Certification is a plus. Partner development experience is a plus.
