Position : Individual Protection Product Marketing Manager
Job Location: UK, Hybrid – Our Brighton office 2 days a week (min) / the rest from Home

You’ll be joining a business that is expanding, cares about the community and the environment. About MetLife
MetLife has two business lines in the UK: Employee Benefits offering Group Life and Group Income Protection to employers large and small through brokers and intermediaries; and Individual Protection (IP) offering EverydayProtect, ChildShield and MortageSafe, available to individuals through Advisers. This role will focus on Individual Protection and will be working predominantly within a cross-functional project team.
You will be part of MetLife’s marketing team in the UK and have access to a small team that has the support of a Regional and Global Marketing team behind it. You will work in a team that collaborates across functions within the UK and connects with marketers across MetLife to deliver marketing and communications that drive the UK’s business goals whilst ensuring our brand integrity. You will be joining the business at an exciting time in our growth journey and will play a key role in it.
Role Description :
The IP Product Marketing Manager role is a new role in the UK Marketing team and is intended to be a focused resource to support the business with the development and delivery of new products and major transformation for the business. The role holder will be a critical member of this Agile project team (part of the product aligned team) and will be the marketing lead. This role is a highly collaborative one, working closely with subject matter experts and other functions in order to bring products and propositions to market. Customer focus is key to the success of the delivery and as such, the role holder needs to act as the customer ‘in the room’ and be passionate about customer experience and customer-centric design. Previous experience of building end-to-end digital customer journeys would be advantageous.
Product Marketing Manager key responsibilities:
Lead development and implementation of take-to-market plans/marketing plans
Develop and produce product literature and other required marketing materials (from start to finish)
Content creation and sales support
Breifing and management of agencies
Internal change communications
Champion the customer experience
This person must be familiar with working within Agile projects and new product development; comfortable with working at pace and with uncertainty; and managing different stakeholders.
Experience of working within a regulated environment will be beneficial for the roleholder.
Candidate Profile
Business Experience and Technical Skills :
Required
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related field, or an advanced degree in business or marketing
5+ yrs. B2B/B2C marketing experience, with knowledge of campaign management, advertising and integrated marketing communications, including strategy, creative, production and media
Experience of working within Agile teams and platforms such as JIRA & TargetProcess
Experience of new product development and/or product launches
Ability to bring creativity and innovative thinking to marketing execution
Experience of end to end digital product builds/ understanding of digital servicing
Must be able to take a ‘hands on’ approach - plan and do
Knowledge and experience of working within a fast-moving product development environment
Experience planning & managing a budget
Willing to work from the office at least 2 days per week (more if required)

Experience of working with, and presenting to, senior level staff
